Yes, it has been a while! Where to start? We moved into our Qatari nest on Thursday, April 15, thrilled to receive our furniture safe and sound after 7 weeks of shipment. And -- yippeeeee! -- every stick of it is in mint condition. How cool is that?!

Here is a little film I shot of our container pulling up to the house (it also gives you a good idea of what our compound looks like):

Compound = gated community made up of townhouses + pool area + clubhouse with gym.

Our home is located in the neighborhood of "Al Garrafa", a residential area North East of downtown.

Ground floor, clockwise from the front door: living room, guest toilet, "cave" or our basement / messy room, kitchen and dining room

1st floor: master, master bathroom, guest bedroom (si si!), bathroom and Loulou's bedroom.

In the back, we have a small courtyard and maid's quarters.

We move in tomorrow. Yipee!!

Our land line will however not be connected any time soon - at best, in two weeks? I will miss internet terribly, but will check my email as soon as I have identified a wifi location somewhere. And accessible by Karwa local taxi monopoly. Myohmy, not always easy to be a trailing wife. Encouragement needed me thinks.
